The legend of "Queen of Sheba" is the input we relied upon for naming our brand “ShebaDise”, when we visited the British Museum in London, for an exhibition on the "Kingdom of Sheba" civilization and its amazing ancient treasures.
Upon entering the exhibition, we felt the overwhelming presence of the "Queen of Sheba" as a symbol of charm, beauty, prestige and uniqueness through precious jewelry that narrate, in a scenic pictographic language, the story of the Queen of Sheba and her famous meeting with King Solomon. It also shows a keen interest in presenting artistic and ancient historical works that reflect the variances in the story of Queen Bilqis in the three monotheistic religions.
We have seen wonderful examples of precious monuments, jewelry and gemstones related to Queen of Sheba. They were discovered and gathered from museums of Britain, the United States, and Yemen. The exhibition presented a study on the "Queen of Sheba" as depicted by Western artists, since the Renaissance in the fifteenth century.
However, the "Queen of Sheba" has transcended the religious stories to preoccupy the dreams and imaginations of kings and queens throughout history up to our time, and our imagination as well. We were astonished by the narrative and stories of "Queen of Sheba" in European art in the modern era, the nineteenth century, and the Renaissance. Thus, we were inspired to name our company after its great name.
